It will grow quickly to about 50 cm tall and 2 m wide as a dense mat. Best performance with this conifer is achieved when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is tolerant of dry conditions but not of prolonged wet soils. It is also tolerant of coastal environments and cold conditions.
