Juniperus Blue Chip, commonly known as Creeping Juniper, is a ground hugging conifer. It features slender, trailing branches that host silver-blue, needle like foliage. It will grow quickly to about 50 cm tall and 2 m wide as a dense mat. Juniperus Blue Chip is commonly used as an attractive groundcover, planted beside steps or a path and allowed to spill over, used as a border plant, or planted on a bank.

Juniperus Blue Chip Details

Juniperus Blue Chip, commonly known as the Blue Chip Creeping Juniper, is a ground hugging conifer. It features slender, trailing branches that host silver-blue, needle like foliage. It will grow quickly to about 50 cm tall and 2 m wide as a dense mat. Best performance with this conifer is achieved when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is tolerant of dry conditions but not of prolonged wet soils. It is also tolerant of coastal environments and cold conditions. Juniperus Blue Chip is commonly used as an attractive groundcover, planted beside steps or a path and allowed to spill over, used as a border plant, or planted on a bank.
