Hardenbergia Meema is a ground cover plant grown for its pretty flowers and lush foliage. It bears masses of deep purple flowers on slender stems from late winter through spring which literally transforms the plant. Complementing the showy flowers are the lush dark green leaves which are held densely. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and will spread 2 m wide. This hardy plant is tolerant of most soil conditions and climates including moderate frost though will grow best on a well-drained site in full sun. Hardenbergia Sweet Heart is commonly grown as an elegant ground cover and is well suited to planting around outdoor living areas and including in cottage gardens.
