Dampiera diversifolia

Dampiera diversifolia is a low growing plant that is often used as a groundcover. It carries bright green, glossy leaves on a densely branched plant which becomes adorned with masses of dark purple-blue flowers during summer. It typically grows to 20 cm tall and 1 m wide, and performs best on a well-drained, sheltered site, in partial shade. It requires good summer moisture and will tolerate light frosts once established. Dampiera diversifolia is commonly used as a ground cover or allowed to trail over a wall or hanging basket. A mass planting will give a truly outstanding display and it is well suited to cottage gardens.
