Arenaria Avalanche

Arenaria Avalanche, commonly known as Sandwort, is a fantastic plant which is often used as a groundcover. It forms a cushion of green-grey leaves that will quickly fill in the spaces between stepping stones or trail down the sides of rock walls. The foliage is adorned with masses of pure white, cup shaped flowers from late spring until early autumn as it grows to about 30 cm tall and 50 cm wide. Arenaria Avalanche is a perfect plant for bordering paths, planting between flagstones, growing so it can trail down a retaining wall or from a container, including in rock or cottage gardens, or planting around outdoor living areas.
