Ajuga reptans Pink Beauty, commonly known as Bugleweed, Common Bugle, or Carpet Bugle, forms a mound of deep green leaves and bears showy spikes of soft pink flowers from spring through summer. This shade-loving plant spreads rapidly to form a dense carpet of vegetation as it grows to 20 cm tall and 100 cm wide. This Common Bugle requires a well-drained site with good summer moisture to perform. It is tolerant of moderate frost, coastal environments, and can be grown in full sun or partial shade. Ajuga reptans Pink Beauty is commonly used as a groundcover, grown in a container, or used to transform a shady area. A mass planting produces a very rewarding display with Bugleweed plants.
