Acaena microphylla

Scarlet Piripiri

Acaena microphylla is a ground cover forming a dense carpet of green-bronze leaves to about 10 cm tall and 1 m wide. Bright red, burr-like flower heads appear during summer and autumn. Used as ground cover beside walkways, in rock gardens, amongst paving stones and boulders, in containers, or at the base of larger plants.
