Once mature, Blue Bidibidi requires little attention while providing excellent groundcover and seasonal interest.

Acaena glauca (Blue Bidibidi) care tips

Caring for Acaena glauca (Blue Bidibidi) is very easy due to its hardy and low maintenance nature. Water regularly during establishment, but once settled it is drought tolerant and self sufficient. Occasional trimming can help keep it neat and prevent it from spreading too far into unwanted areas. Fertiliser is generally unnecessary, though a light feed in spring can boost growth. Its resilience makes it a practical choice for sustainable NZ gardens and landscapes.

Acaena glauca (Blue Bidibidi) size, spacing, and growth rate

Acaena glauca (Blue Bidibidi) generally grows to about 5 to 10 cm tall and spreads up to 1.5 metres wide, forming dense mats of foliage.
