Uncinia Red, commonly known as Red Hook Sedge, is a NZ native ornamental grass is grown for its striking red foliage. It grows as a clump and produces fine, dark red leaves that have a gentle arch. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. The stunning appearance of Uncinia Red makes it ideal for planting around ponds, growing in a container, for border plantings, rock gardens, or to contrast with other plant colours.
