Stipa tenuissima, commonly known as Mexican Feather Grass, is a popular, ornamental grass. It grows as a clump and produces narrow, dark green leaves. The foliage is adorned through summer and autumn with tall, golden-bronze stems that bear soft and fluffy seed heads. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Stipa tenuissima is commonly mass planted on a bank, included in mixed plantings, included in woodland plantings, or mass planted for a dramatic show.
