Poa billardierei Details

Poa billardierei, commonly known as Sand Tussock, is a fawn-green coloured grass that grows to about 70 cm tall and 50 cm wide. The fine leaves are rolled and have a graceful arch. In summer it produces tall flower spikes which rise above the foliage. This grass grows best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate dry periods, wind, and coastal conditions. Poa billardierei is commonly used for planting around the base of trees and the like where other plants are unlikely to establish. It is also often included in borders, rock gardens, mass planted, or planted to help minimise erosion.
