How to grow Ophiopogon 'Alba Variegata' in NZ

Ophiopogon 'Alba Variegata' grows well in New Zealand’s temperate climate, thriving in partial shade to full sun. It prefers moist, well-drained soil but will tolerate dry conditions once established. Plant in borders, as ground cover, or in containers for a striking contrast of green and white striped foliage. Water regularly during the first year, and mulch to conserve moisture. Trim back old leaves in late winter to encourage fresh growth. It’s a hardy, low-maintenance option for adding texture and light to garden spaces.
