Forest Sedge
Carex lambertiana is a hardy, NZ native grass with bright green leaves. They are held with a gently arch and become adorned with dark brown seed heads during summer as it grows to 1 m tall and 50 cm wide. Carex lambertiana is commonly used in environmental plantings focussed on establishing or restoring wetland areas. It is also perfect for planting on a bank, adding to a mixed planting, including in woodland plantings, planting around a pond or stream, or including in a border.
