Carex flagellifera is a fine-textured, clump-forming sedge native to New Zealand, admired for its bronze to coppery foliage and graceful arching form. Growing 40-60 cm tall and wide, it adds year-round colour and movement to gardens. This hardy grass-like plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Ideal for mass planting, borders, and coastal gardens, it’s low-maintenance and tolerant of wind, light frost, and dry conditions once established.
