Carex flagellifera Brown is grown for its colourful and attractive foliage. This NZ native grass carries cascading, brown foliage as it grows to 80 cm tall and the same width. Carex flagellifera Brown is often planted around the base of larger trees, included in border plantings, mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, or contained in coastal gardens.
