Calamagrostis Overdam Grass

The Calamagrostis Overdam grass grows as a clump and produces upright leaves that are variegated green and white. Soft and feathery flowers appear above the foliage during summer which are green initially but age to a wheat-brown colour. It typically grows to 90 cm tall and 50 cm wide and are normally cut back in winter just above ground level to regrow again. This grass is tolerant of a wide range of soils and climates but will grow best on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. The Calamagrostis Overdam grass provides an outstanding display when mass planted, and is often planted in clusters, included in borders, used as a groundcover, added to a mixed planting, or planted on a bank.
