Aciphylla squarrosa is a grass that forms a dense cluster of spiky leaves. The narrow blue-green leaves grow to about 1 m long and have serrated leaf edges. In summer, plants produce yellow flowers as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Aciphylla squarrosa is commonly planted in clusters with the soft looking foliage and colour providing a great contrast to darker coloured plants.

Aciphylla squarrosa Details

Aciphylla squarrosa is a grass that forms a dense cluster of spiky leaves. The narrow blue-green leaves grow to about 1 m long and have serrated leaf edges. In summer, plants produce yellow flowers which are carried on a stalk up 1 m high. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best in a full sun position on a well-drained site. It will tolerate shaded conditions but tend to become more open. It also tolerates coastal environments, frost, cool climates, and periods of dry. Aciphylla squarrosa is commonly planted in clusters with the soft looking foliage and colour providing a great contrast to darker coloured plants.
