Urbana Grape

The Urbana grape is an eating variety that produces fruit that ripen in autumn. It features clusters of medium sized, sweet, cherry like, red berries with an impressive flavour. This deciduous vine carries large, mid-green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It requires a trellis or fence for support and if left untrimmed, it will grow to about 5 m tall. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site and it is tolerant of frost and cold environments. This Urbana grape is commonly used for fruit production, grown to attract birds, or trained on a support structure as an attractive feature.
