Riesling Wine Grape

The Riesling wine grape is both an eating grape and a popular wine grape. It features medium sized, yellow-green, highly aromatic, juicy berries that ripen in autumn. This deciduous vine carries large, mid-green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It requires a trellis or fence for support and if left untrimmed, it will grow to about 5 m tall. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site and it is tolerant of frost and cold environments. The Riesling wine grape is commonly used for fruit production, grown to attract birds, or trained on a support structure as an attractive feature.
