Grape Buffalo is a variety of eating grape that produces fruit that ripen in early autumn. It features large sized, juicy, dark blue-black berries that have a lovely taste. It grows as a deciduous vine, carrying lush, mid-green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. Grape Buffalo is commonly trained onto a fence or trellis for fruit production or as an attractive climber.

Buffalo Grape Vine

The Buffalo grape vine is a variety of eating grape that produces fruit that ripen in early autumn. It features large sized, juicy, dark blue-black berries that have a lovely taste. Birds love the fruit and will come from far and wide to feast if they are not protected. It grows as a deciduous vine, carrying lush, mid-green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It is generally trained onto a support structure and pruned right back each year. Left untrimmed it will easily grow to 5 m in length. This variety grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and dry periods once established. The Buffalo grape vine is commonly trained onto a fence or trellis for fruit production or as an attractive climber.
