Tamarillo Mulligan is a variety of Tamarillo which produces exquisite and tasty fruit. White flowers appear in spring and are followed by the purple-coloured fruits in summer. The fruit are borne amidst the lush, green foliage as it grows to 2.5 m tall and the same wide. Tamarillo Mulligan is commonly grown for fruit production, added to tropical plantings, included in mixed plantings, or planted against a bland wall to provide both depth and colour.

Tamarillo Mulligan Details

Tamarillo Mulligan is a variety of Tamarillo which produces exquisite and tasty fruit. White flowers appear in spring and are followed by the purple-coloured fruits in summer. The fruit are borne amidst the lush, green foliage. It grows upright and can reach 2.5 m tall and the same wide but is often contained to smaller sizes with trimming. Best performance is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site that is frost free. Once established they will cope with one or two mild frosts only. Tamarillo Mulligan is commonly grown for fruit production, added to tropical plantings, included in mixed plantings, or planted against a bland wall to provide both depth and colour.
