Macverna Plum Tree
Plum MacVerna is a variety of plum that produces early crops of mid-sized, red-black fruit in summer. The flesh is red, juicy, and full of flavour. White blossoms adorn the tree in spring and give rise to the fruit in summer. This deciduous tree grows with an upright habit to about 5 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. The MacVerna plum is commonly planted for fruit production and makes for a lovely specimen.
