Peachcot Tree Details

Peachcots are a cross between a peach and an apricot and result in peachcot fruit that delicious, smooth skinned, golden fruit with flesh that is sweet, juicy, and firmly textured. The Peachcot tree is deciduous and typically reaches 5 m tall and 3 m wide. They can be trimmed as necessary which is usually undertaken after the fruit is picked in late summer. Best yields are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered, fertile site, with good soil moisture during dry periods. It is tolerant of cold climates and frost, though late frosts will reduce the yield. A Peachcot tree is often added to a mixed planting, grown as a specimen, or planted specifically for fruit production.
