Nectarine 'Fantasia'

How to grow Nectarine 'Fantasia' in NZ

Nectarine 'Fantasia' grows best in a sunny sheltered position with fertile, well drained soil. Improve the soil with compost before planting and water regularly while the tree establishes. Feed each spring with a quality fruit tree fertiliser to encourage vigorous growth and abundant fruit production. Good sunlight and air circulation help produce premium quality fruit while reducing the likelihood of disease problems.

Nectarine 'Fantasia' care tips

Nectarine 'Fantasia' benefits from annual winter pruning to maintain an open canopy and encourage productive new shoots. Water during prolonged dry periods, particularly while fruit is developing. Apply mulch around the base to conserve soil moisture while keeping it clear of the trunk. Monitor regularly for common pests and diseases so any issues can be managed promptly.

Nectarine 'Fantasia' size, spacing, and growth rate

Nectarine 'Fantasia' typically grows 3 to 4 metres tall with a similar spread, although regular pruning can maintain a smaller tree. It has a moderate to fast growth rate in favourable conditions.
