Feijoa Antoinette is a variety that produces tasty, medium-large sized fruit in autumn. The tasty fruit result from small, bright red flowers in summer which produced amidst the lush, dark green leaves. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide, though can be trimmed to smaller sizes as necessary. It performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-fertile site. It is tolerant of coastal environments, dry periods, some wind, and moderate frost once established. Feijoa Antoinette is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added to a mixed planting. The Plant Company recommends planting at least two varieties to provide for longer fruiting and to improve yields.
