Double grafted apple trees achieve higher yields due to better pollination and also extend the fruiting season. “Liberty” and “Sir Prize” are both popular varieties of apple that bear tasty fruit in autumn. The rootstock keeps this deciduous tree to about 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide, though it can be trimmed as necessary.
