The Claygate Pearmain apple tree bears high quality dessert apples in late summer. The fruit are green with a red-orange blush. This deciduous tree typically grows to 3.5 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. It is self-pollinating and so does not require another apple variety planted close by to set fruit. The Claygate Pearmain apple tree is commonly planted for fruit production, added to a mixed planting, or maintained in a courtyard garden.
