Apple 20 Ounce Details

The 20 Ounce apple bears large fruit that ripen in early autumn. The fruit have a yellow skin and are striped red. The flesh is firm, juicy, with a tart taste and is great for eating fresh. This deciduous tree typically grows to 4 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. It is self-pollinating and so does not require another apple variety planted close by to set fruit. Best results are achieved with this tree when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. The 20 Ounce Pippin apple is commonly planted for fruit production, added to a mixed planting, or maintained in a courtyard garden.
