“Washington Navel” is a high quality, seedless variety of Orange. The fruit are tender, juicy, and full or flavour which make it a favourite for citrus lovers. They ripen almost all year and hold well on the tree. It typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate moderate frost as well as short periods of dry but should be protected while it establishes. This variety is well suited to the home garden and is commonly grown for fruit production, added to a mixed planting, maintained in a container, grown as an informal hedge, added to a courtyard garden, planted around outdoor living areas, or grown as a specimen.
