“Seville” is a variety of Orange that produces heavy crops of bitter fruit in winter. These are ideal for marmalade, liqueurs, preserves, sauces and relishes, and often grown commercially for this purpose. The fruit are set amidst the dark green foliage. It typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from heavy frost. It will generally tolerate moderate frost once established. This variety is commonly included in a mixed planting or grown as an informal hedge.
