“Fukumoto” is a variety of Orange renowned for its large fruit which have a reddish tinge. The fruit ripen in winter and are both sweet tasting and great eating. They are set amidst the lush and glossy, dark green foliage. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from heavy frost. It will generally tolerate moderate frost once established. This popular variety is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown as an informal hedge, or maintained either in a container or in a courtyard garden.
