“Fantasia” is one of the most popular Nectarine varieties owing to its fantastic fruit. It produces consistent yields of smooth, glossy, bright red fruit with a yellow tone through summer. The flesh is golden, sweet, and juicy with a rich flavour. It grows as a deciduous tree with an upright habit to about 5 m tall and 3 m wide. Nectarines grow best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. While trees are tolerant of frost and prefer temperate climates, late frosts in spring can damage the flowers and reduce the crop. This is a great fruit tree for the home garden and will perform well in warmer climates.
