“Silverhill” is an easy to peel variety of Mandarin that has fruit with a thin and smooth skin. The fruit ripen in winter and are large, flatly shaped, and seedless. They are low in acid, sweet, and juicy. The lush foliage is glossy and dark green and becomes adorned with white flowers in summer. This selection grows compactly and and typically reaches 1.5 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and protected from heavy frost.
