“Afourer” is a Mandarin variety that produces easy to peel, sweet, juicy, flavoursome fruit. The fruit ripens in winter and will hold on the tree for several weeks. This selection is fast growing and typically reaches 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from frost. Citrus will generally tolerate moderate frosts once established. This Mandarin is commonly included in mixed plantings, grown in a container, added to a courtyard garden, or grown as a specimen.
