Feijoa ‘Anatoki’ is an early season variety that produces large and tasty fruit in autumn. The fruit result from small, bright red flowers in summer which produced amidst the lush, dark green leaves. However, another variety of Feijoa such as ‘Unique’ or ‘Mammoth’ needs to be planted nearby to aid pollination for fruit to be produced. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide but can be trimmed to smaller sizes. This variety performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-fertile site. It is tolerant of coastal environments, dry periods, some wind, and moderate frost once established. Feijoa ‘Anatoki’ is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added to a mixed planting.
