Dianella Paroo Lily features spikes carrying delicate, blue flowers in spring. These are held neatly above the dark green, strap-like leaves. The flowers are followed by small blue berries in summer. The Dianella caerulea Paroo Lily is grown for both its foliage and flowers. It features spikes carrying delicate, blue flowers in spring. These are held neatly above the dark green, strap-like leaves. The flowers are followed by small blue berries in summer. It will typically grow to 50 cm tall and the same wide and has storage roots that enable it to survive a wide range of environmental conditions. It grows best, however, when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is hardy to moderate frost, coastal environments, dry periods, and cool climates.
