Cordyline Zumba is a grass-like plant that is renowned for its slender and colourful foliage. The dark red leaves with a dark pink overtone are gently arching and borne as a clump. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It can be grown in partial shade conditions but colouring will be less intense. It is also tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, and coastal environments but should be protected while it is establishing. Cordyline Zumba is perfect for adding colour to dull spaces, maintaining in a container, including in tropical plantings, planting around pool and other outdoor living areas, or using as a colourful accent in a mixed planting. This is a very popular plant owing to its striking colour and ease to grow.
