Cordyline Magenta Rays is an ornamental variety of the commonly known, Cabbage Tree, and is renowned for its slender, pink foliage with a darker centre. The gently arching leaves are borne as a crown and it will reach 2 m tall and the same wide. Best results are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It can be grown in partial shade conditions, but colouring will be less intense. It is also tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, and coastal environments but should be protected while it is establishing. Cordyline Magenta Rays is perfect for adding colour to mixed plantings, growing in a container, including in tropical plantings.
