Cretan Brake, Ribbon Fern

Commonly known as the Ribbon Fern, this is a fern commonly grown as an indoor plant. It bears elongated, green fronds as it grows to 45 cm tall and the same wide. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in partial shade. The Ribbon Fern is commonly grown as a potted plant in a hanging basket but can also be planted outdoors in frost free areas. In such circumstances it is well suited to planting around outdoor living areas and including in subtropical gardens. It makes an interesting addition to offices and lounges where it is usually located on a shelf.
