Stiff Bears Paw Fern
Commonly known as the Stiff Bears Paw Fern, this small fern produces slender fronds. The fronds emerge light green and darken with age. It grows as a clump to about 40 cm tall and 50 cm wide, preferring a partial shade position and a well-drained, sheltered site that does not dry out. It is tolerant of light frost, cool climates, heavy shade, and fairly poor soil conditions. This fern is commonly used in woodland plantings, planted around outdoor living areas, or grown indoors as a potted plant.
