Cyathea cooperi, commonly known as the Australian Tree Fern, produces a tall and slender, brown trunk and can grow up to 15 m tall with a spread of 8 m. The dark green fronds are soft and delicate, and held horizontally as they radiate from the top of the trunk. Cyathea cooperi is used for revegetation projects, used in woodland gardens, planted alongside streams, or included in a mixed planting to provide height and texture. NB: This variety of Tree Fern is banned from sale and propagation in NZ.

Cyathea cooperi is an Australian native tree fern that produces a tall and slender, brown trunk and can grow up to 15 m tall with a spread of 8 m. This Tree Fern is well suited to cool and damp areas and is great for providing a sub-tropical feel to a garden. NB: This variety of Tree Fern is banned from sale and propagation in NZ.
