“Geenty's Green” is a hardy, NZ native shrub grown for its lovely foliage and pretty flowers. It bears narrow, olive-green leaves that have a silver underside. Masses of small, star like, mildly fragrant, yellow flowers are produced through summer. These are followed by small red-orange berries in autumn which are great for attracting birds. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. “Geentys Green” grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate wind, frost, coastal conditions, and dry periods once established. It is commonly used as low to medium sized hedge but also makes a great addition to a mixed planting, or for planting on those difficult to grow sites. Space plants 60 cm apart for hedging.
