Juniperus Winter Gold, commonly known as the Gold Juniper Plant, is a spreading conifer with colourful foliage and great form. It carries fine, needle like leaves which are golden-yellow through winter and tends towards green with yellow overtones during the other seasons. It grows to about 70 cm and 2.5 m, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is tolerant of frost, coastal environments, cool climates, and dry periods, but will not do well on wet soils. Juniperus Winter Gold is commonly included in mixed plantings, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, or mass planted on a bank as a groundcover.
