It grows as a dense, evergreen shrub with strongly ascending main branches carrying green-yellow foliage. In winter, the foliage develops bronze-yellow tones making it a striking specimen as it grows to 3 m tall and the same wide. Juniperus Plumosa Aurea is commonly used as a sculptural specimen, added to a mixed planting, or combined with other low growing conifers. It looks impressive when planted against a stark wall.

Juniperus Plumosa Aurea, commonly known as the Golden Juniper, is an interesting and brightly coloured conifer. It grows as a dense, evergreen shrub with strongly ascending main branches carrying green-yellow foliage. In winter, the foliage develops bronze-yellow tones making it a striking specimen. It typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is tolerant of dry conditions but not of prolonged wet soils.
