Chamaecyparis thyoides Rubicon

Chamaecyparis thyoides Rubicon is an outstanding conifer owing to its soft looking foliage and compact nature. It grows with a conical shape bearing short needles that are blue-green in summer and a rich burgundy red in winter. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and 45 cm wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of frost, coastal environments, and cool climates. This is a beautiful conifer that is often included in mixed plantings to provide colour and texture. It is also great for maintaining in a container, planting around pool and other outdoor living areas, using to soften a bland wall or the like, or growing to line or border an entrance.
