Showy, soft-blue flowers with a yellow centre are borne from late spring through until early autumn. It has twinning stems with arrow-shaped, mid green leaves. This climber will easily reach 2.5 m tall but is often contained to smaller sizes with trimming. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a sheltered, well-drained site. In temperate areas this plant should be treated as an annual as frosts will damage or even kill the plant.
