Manettia bicolour, commonly known as the Firecracker Vine, is a climber that is favoured for its colourful flowers. Red flowers with a yellow tip are borne through spring and summer. These are complemented with lush, fresh-green foliage. This evergreen will reach about 2 m in length, but can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown on a well-drained site in full sun, protected from frost and wind. Manettia bicolour is commonly grown along a fence or other support structure. It also looks great in a sub-tropical or pool garden in frost free areas.
