“Gold Flame” is a variety of the commonly known, Honeysuckle, and is renowned for its impressive flowers. Highly fragrant and showy, rose pink flowers with a yellow interior are borne through summer. The flowers are very striking and great for attracting butterflies and birds. The leaves are a rich green colour with a lush appeal. Left untrimmed it will grow to 3 m tall, but can easily be contained with clipping. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of dry periods and moderate frost. In cool climates it may become deciduous during winter. This climber is perfect for growing on trellises, fences, and pergolas and also looks very effective when allowed to trail over a wall.
