Hardenbergia violacea 'Alba' (False Sarsaparilla) Details

“Alba” is a vigorous, evergreen climber grown for its pretty, white flowers. The flowers are pea-like in appearance and produced en masse in clusters from late winter through spring. Complementing the showy flowers are the lush dark green leaves which are held densely. It will easily grow to 6 m tall, but is often contained with trimming as necessary. This hardy plant is tolerant of most soil conditions and climates including moderate frost though will grow best on a well-drained site in full sun. This Hardenbergia is commonly grown along fences, trellises, or pergolas, or allowed to sprawl as a groundcover if it has nothing to climb.
