Clematis Fireworks is a deciduous climber grown for its showy flowers. It produces masses of star shaped, blue flowers which have a distinctive dark pink streak. These are borne from spring through summer and are complemented with lush, mid-green foliage. This climber will easily reach 3 m but can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and can be grown in coastal environments. Clematis Fireworks is an attractive and popular climber that is commonly used for growing on pergolas, fences, or archways. It is well suited to being planted around outdoor living areas and being included in cottage gardens.
